I am posting the info for the virtual box settings. Setup a new VM and had the exact same results. I'm not terribly proficient in Linux, so If I need to provide more details, please let me know. I absolutely need the Guest machine to have internet access at boot.Ĭode: Select all Expand view Collapse view Host MachineĬode: Select all Expand view Collapse view Guest Machine - Virtual Machine In order for it's IP address to be ping'd I have to RDP from my Windows 10 machine separate machine to the guest VM and run "Sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart". However, the guest machine after boot never has an active network. Both machines are configured with Static IPs in bridged mode. I'm running a headless Ubuntu 16.04 Host with a headless Ubuntu 16.04 Virtual Machine Guest.
